06 Tacoma A/T wasn't shifting into 5th

hey guys It wouldn't go into 5th gear my son told me to spray the MAF sensor and it worked .. only problem I've got is after a hard stop when I try and take off RPMS go up and I sit there for a second or two then it takes off sometimes chirping the tires ... any suggestions???

 

change out trans fluid for new and of the proper amount, i bet your problems go away.

 

I changed out the fluids this morning... it's shifting though the gears better ... but the take delay and tire chirp still there ...

 

Reset the ems by disconnecting the battery for ~10 minutes.

Then drive it like you stole it, for a little while, and it will have more responsive shifting.

make doubly sure the trans is full. There is no dipstick on these trans so you have to go through the proper procedure at the proper temp.

 

Yeah thanks I'm gonna get right on that hopefully that will be my Saturday project
