Agreed. Either way, I think he wanted to stay close to home. He's expressed that many times. I think him, Nieto, and one other all came out of Long Beach, CA.

You clearly didnt read what I posted.

I said he clearly deserved praise.

But 3 hours straight of Matthews while ignoring every single player on the ice got a bit old. This is not a "sens fan" thing... even the other leafs who were playing great were left out other than maybe one or two mentions of Marner who I thought played great.

Yes, I do admit that our market is definitely smaller and all but the sens are still a professional team with tons of talent and enjoyable to watch. They dont crash and burn every single year like the leafs have.

You mention the 2007 stanley cup finals but ironically enough the leafs have only made the playoffs a a single time since 2005 - and that was when the leafs lost to the bruins in 2013. So please, don't try and lecture me on how shitty a hockey team is when the epitome of shit over the last decade and a bit is the toronto maple laughs.

 

He deserves every second of that attention, I think. That was badass. I get what you are saying though. But to me, that was amazing, the kid deserves to have his night. Hopefully this is the first step to a possible next guy to be the face of the league along-side McDavid. That would be very good for the league.
