Good Morning Everyone

Its 0307 hrs and I'm wide awake and can't sleep . Got a VA appt this morning @ 0815hrs and it looks like no sleep for me today

 

Sleep is way over rated.

 

I usually average 4 hrs a night sleep been doing this sleep pattern since getting out of the military 32 years ago

 

A couple of years ago finally broke free of that after 20 years, and it has been almost 20 years since I retired from the Navy now Although with my job have had to do too many 24 and carry on's too. But life is much better with 6 or more hours of sleep for me, if I can get them. For the last couple weeks been waking up at 0300 with my back in pain. Hurts to lay there hurts to stand and hurts to walk. But get up and walk around anyhow feel its wrong to just lay in bed awake. Good luck with the VA today. My appointments aren't with the VA today but I go until noon or so. Then the Taco goes to the dealer to get a bad shock replaced. Only took them a day to get a replacement in for the Baja suspension.

Problem at the dealer is staring at the $76,000 Landcruiser on the showroom floor, reduced from $85,000. It is a lot nicer than the FJ55 I had in the early 80's in Washington State.


And paid $3,900 for it with less than 20k miles on it. But the dollar went a lot further back then too. Still it cost more than my first house?! But damn it is a nice rig. Just can't see taking something that nice (and expensive) off road though. Even has a fridge in the console, haven't seen that since the Land Cruisers in the gulf that we used to call sand cadillacs.

 

NE Iowa huh? I'm in SE Mn. and need to get the pup on some pheasants before I take him to SD. Last couple of years been going over to LeRoy, Mn. at 3 Arrows with Ben for bird training. But haven't been down to see Dale at Chase the Adventure in Decorah for a couple years and should. Supposed to cool off again next week want to go shoot a few training birds? I'm up for either place if you want to and it's not too far away from you. Wish we had a really hard freeze to make a dent in the tick population though.
