Yep, i see the part number from Magnuson is slightly different (01-90-40-009-BL vs 01-90-40-007-BL). Guesswork on my part only is the the bully tuner programming is slightly different or fit kit is slightly different. Looking at the body, pulleys etc it appears to be identical. Of course all the matters is the determination from Sparks Toyota as to whether it can be included in the GB and count toward the discount threshold. If not, oh well.....but I do think there is some interested parties over there (I cant....as I have 2010 model). But I am interested in the 3.4L supercharger if there will be a GB on those and whether those counts go toward discount threshold.

p.s. sorry....didnt see your answers immediately above until I had already posted. Thanks will spread word on FJs and see if we can contribute to the GB count.

Not worth the money to me, although I'd really like one.

To think that I passed on one up here for $2500 CAD last year. (missing injectors)

I am not in at close to $7000 CAD when all is done.

Blower and programming is the same. It is the fit kit that is different, that was sold seperately under TRD but bundled under Magnuson.

Note that Toyota installs this under the accessory install shop rate, which is much cheaper than the mechanic shop rate. Saves a fair amount if you point this out if they are trying to charge the mechanic rate.

Don't like this at all. Not interested in permanently installing the BD or tying-up my ODB2 port. Can anyone confirm?
Agreed. Haven't read much positive about BD tuners.

Very interested in this GB. Traveling the next couple of days, but should be home and know whether I can commit or not by Sunday. Thanks, again, to @big_jarv and @TIM.TRDSparks for setting it up!

Talked to my other associate yesterday and this morning who has installed the BD system. You don't have to leave it plugged in at all times. It basically re-tunes the ECU for you and you can unplug it after it is done tuning. Like I said there are nice read outs available on the BD system that you can see through the OBDII port if you choose to leave it mounted. I apologize about the back and forth, but got the final answer this morning.

Sounds good. You don't have have to permanently tie up the odb2 port.
I'll add you to the maybe lost.

    Let me know.

Don't have an end date at this time. We will definitely be giving it a few days as we understand it will take some time for funds.
