Does anyone know if there is a way to make the Electronic Controlled Transmission stay on? I wish it was on by default and you had to turn it off. Thanks

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
Not currently that I know of. However I have noticed that ever since I started using ECT full time for the past few tousand miles. On the occasions that I forget to press it, the truck isn't as slugish as it used to be. Stays in the higher gears more similar to ECT. Maybe the truck learns with ECT on, or it could just be in my mind, who knows.

while on the subject does it shift into 6th gear at some point when in ECT mode. also drive on a flat surface at 40ish MPH with the ECT on then while maintaining that speed push the ECT off and instantly the truck feels like it is breaking slightly and you feel the forward G force. weird.

actually should be easily reprogrammed so that it is automatically on when you start the vehicle.

But good luck getting toyota to do that lol.
