    Hmm...Let's see....

Some of these - adds 5 bullpower.

This would be awesome, but probably a bit outta the budget.

The one might be in the budget.

Lots of small stuff; Grillcraft MX, Bilstein 5100's, Deck Plate Mod w/ AFE air filter, Airaid MIT, braided SS brake lines, Redline Tuning QuickLIFT hood struts, Extang Full-Tilt tonneau cover, fog light mod, gray wire mod, power outlets on-demand, Diff breather ext, additional contours to passenger side from oak tree.
Not a 'mod', but add a high flow air filter with the deckplate mod. K&N or AFE are pretty much the preferred options. I think my K&N cost about $50 - noticeable increase in airflow, and will last as long as the truck so it beats buying all those disposable filters.

Here's a pretty extensive list of mods, both big & small: http://www.parksoffroad.com/tacomamods/01tacoma.html#sus

Also, here's a list of goodies you can buy for it (many for 2nd gens though): http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/deals-coupons/31623-list.html

Save your money for gas, maintenance, insurance & registration.

McDonalds money doesn't go very far. I used to work there myself when I was your age.

Yes, your airbox is just smaller so you have to have a smaller deck plate, a 3 or 4 inch I believe.

Go for the 4". The 3" isn't a helluva lot better than your current tube and anything bigger than a 4" can get pretty cramped to fit on the air box and avoid the wiper fluid reservoir spout.
