A New OP , a possible troll makes a few comments provides no paperwork , no vin but because he was negative to the Tacoma look at all you guys rambling on. It sure doesn't take much to get this group going. I've seen threads were poster would comment on how much he likes his truck and the thread dies immediately.

OP which dealership did you bring it to? I'm in MA as well and although this is not a dealer issue, having a good dealership be your advocate can make the whole process less painful.

Actually the warranty is a big deal, since you can transfer to the new owner of your truck when selling. It can also be prorated so if the new owner doesn't want it, it would be prorated & an amount refunded to you. Not sure how that would work for you tho, since you'll get it for free. This whole thing does sound like a major PITA tho!

Dealer had my truck for 3 weeks diagnosing diff whine, low speed vibe, and hood adhesive. Was told by a service adviser "Lucky yours was built in Texas, the Mexico truck have more issues" and mentioned electrical problems that are caught during pre-delivery checks. What did they do in the 3 weeks they had my truck??

Determined vibration and whine are normal and did this bullshit

Don't make that payment. Make them take the truck back and buy another new one somewhere else

That sucks, good luck with your pusuit. I agree with the folks that have stated it should be the Service Manager's job to be in communication with Toyota Corp.........thats what I call taking care of your customers! Sad state of affairs !

When I first read the OP's first post I thought to myself this sure sounds like a troll / mole post to me, and a lot of the posts I read on this forum also smell like troll posts.

I just want to take the time to thank you early adopters for buying the 3rd gen as any new first year model will have issues generally. Trust me, if I could afford a 3rd gen I'd have one... Currently trying to get out of my 2nd gen and into a 1st gen to save some cash. yall the real MVP's :benchpress:
