Ok so sitting here reading TW World with breakfast... getting ready to go and put shims on my Carrier bearing and lube. Step out for 2 hours and come back and dang, I missed all the fun.

The banning of @2ManyTacos75 was epic. I'm still in tears...hahaha... of laughter.

Anywho... did a lift with 5100s 885s & Icon AAL's about a month ago ... lost about 1.5 to 2 mpg and felt a very slight roughness when just starting rolling from a standing start.

Did a little research and thought maybe doing the Carrier Bearing shim thing would be the ticket.

I ordered the Driveshaft Carrier Bearing Drop Kit and installed it and also lubed all 5 zirks again.

No more roughness and the ride feels smoother as well at highway speeds. I noticed that all my zirks needed another 5 pumps or so each. This is after I had a oil change at the stealership maybe 2 weeks ago. So basically they haven't been lubed since I did it at 3K when they were bone dry. I'm now at 13K miles.

Don't they lube the truck when the do an oil change... WTF? That's basic shit IMHO.. This was my 3rd oil change at the dealer and ZERO lubes. Me and my service mgr need to have another convo about routine maintenance on a 4x4 truck.

The factory trained part changers aren't taught to grease anything on the Corollas they train on. There's no expectation that any other Toyota is any different.

At the 5K service, the service manager at my dealer told me my truck didn't have grease fittings. I told him "that's funny, I don't know what I was pumping grease into under there then..."
"I just couldn't get to the one u-joint by the transfer case front shaft, thought it would be easier for you with it being up on a lift."
Him: "Huh...I'll have the mechanic take a look".

Turns out it took 6 pumps of grease, just like the rest did when I greased them.

Like swordfish said...there aren't grease fittings on the Corolla.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
No links and another blahblahblah write off story?

    who cares, again?

Had a quick peek at the thread. Now I'm thinking of registering tacomaownerassholes.com and starting a new forum.

    Yup.. I thought I peed myself a few times. I would give it a 9 only because I haven't seen a 10 thread yet. It's a good read.
