Ok I came home this morning and tried to wire up my three led lights in the grill and have it run to a switch in the cab. It's a seven pin switch have not ever used this type: I have attached a few pictures to show you what I have but if anyone can tell me how to wire this I know it's simple I am just missing something..... I had per online to jump pins one to three then pins four to six use the rest as ground pin seven from battery pin five and to lights pin two. But the second Problem both my PWR outlet and ACC fuses have already been tapped into, what one do I use it's a rocker switch so one light would always be on? Wow just want to get one project done before I return to hospital Tuesday and I am stuck!!!IMG_3119.jpg IMG_3118.jpg IMG_3117.jpg IMG_3116.jpg

YOUR WIRES NEED TO BE INSULATED BETTER :bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:

The switch is upside down. You got a diagram?

IMG_3122.jpg IMG_3121.jpg IMG_3120.jpg I got three Led lights from Ozium and they go to a wire box that has five attachments. The three LED lights go into it and a ground and positive come out. The ground was grounded in the engine compartment and the positive was run through the fire wall to the switch. The companies website had this draw up from some one on the switch setup...
I used setup number 2 I know the wireing is messy but it was just to try and get it to work first.... the one picture is of the switch with no wires the other is an example of the connection box I have used. Should I get a different switch or what am I doing wrong...

I was holding it upside down when I took picture and the messy wiring job will not stay I am just getting it to work before I clean it up and use the shrink wrap tubes...

We can start to work with this. You don't need another switch. What leds do you have? The wattage/amp draw is important.

All three will not draw over 10 Amps so that was the fuse I was useing in the tape and had that set up right with the fuse for the LEDs in back and the fuse tapping into up front... but I could not find a spot to use as my inside LEDs have taken up the ACC and my power plug in rear console took up pwr outlet the switch for my inside LEDs I did which was a six and that went ok I have four of the same LEDs and they are running a 10 Amp fuse as well and the switch stays lite in a off position then has a TRAY Ligjts logo that lights up when on.

I don't want to be mean but you need to use some punctuation, all of your posts are very hard to read.

For your Inside LEDs, do you mean the dimmable dash light circuit for the lights in the switch to come on with the dash lights, or an Ignition-ON only power source for the lights in the switch to come on only when the key is ON. You can choose one source and then piggy back that to all of your extra switches, like leap frog.

Where did you order the switch from? What markings are on the sides of the switch? What kind of switch is it, On-Off, On-off-On, etc.
This picture looks like your drawing, which makes me think you have an On-Off-On switch for use with 2 (sets of) accessories.

Your not being mean, most people know but I am in an out of the hospital every week for cancer treatment. With all the IV medication and pain meds unless I focus really hard things come difficult to me. I always can't wait to work on my truck and I sometimes get to drive but that's limited. It's and On off On switch I had it laying around and forgot to order one when I ordered the LED lights last week when I was at treatment... it's an all purpose switch and I am attached to my IV for the night so can't run out to the truck to get the kind but will in the morning. I believe the switch came with my old winch I had it also came with other cover plates like led light bar winch Sasquatch off road red led and blue... I just put the blue on as the first thing I grabbed. Some times my 10 year old daughter who is my truck buddy writes my email and text because the meds give me double vision in that case you will find a lot of miss spelled words as well! LoL

Well I'm glad I didn't fire off like I do sometimes on here. I completely understand and hope your situation improves and you have lots of time to enjoy your truck and truck buddy!

So yea being a winch switch explains the On-Off-On (In-stop-Out) nature I was seeing in diagrams for that many pins. It also explains the lighting inside the switch more. So you can follow the notes about lighting (pins #1,2,3) on the diagram I posted. If you connect Pin #5 to always hot+ from the battery you will be able to turn your lights on even with the key off, I tend to stray people from that so they don't accidentally drain their battery. Ideally I would use a Relay in a ciruit like this so that I could leap frog all of my Relay switch wires together (low power side), and then have another leap frog from a dash lighting circuit for all of the switch lighting.

No problem, I get lots of harsh treatment sometimes I explain other times I move on. I guess I can run then right from the battery until next set of treatment and I will do some reading on relays and set up. I will then just run the hot from battery through fire wall to switch and exclude the tape a fuse. Should I use a inline fuse when coming off the battery or no? And the best connector is one that is a complete ring that fits over the nut of the positive connection of the battery? Coming from my connection box the five slot connector do I and should I still ground that? Thanks for your time tonight...

In looking at the diagram I get pin seven ground to somewhere inside cab... Pin 5 incoming from battery... Pin 4 and 6 are both outgoing to accessory so would I jump these and have one run out to the LED lights? Pins 1,2,3 are confusing am I connecting these to a power source under the dash? Or can I jump 1 and three and and would I jump pin 2 and 5 as they are requesting power from a pos source? And pin 7 is ground

If I was to use a different switch and as I said my ACC and PRW outlet fuses are taken up in the inside fuse panel what could I use to power switch? Keep lights led
On switch on and the be able to turn LEDs in front grill on? What tape
    A fuse placement is left?

Absolutely use an inline fuse. To connect to the battery, yes a ring connector is good. I'm not sure how you mean ground the connector block. Are all five of the connections tied to each other? If that's the case then you don't ground it.

You don't have to use both pins 4 and 6, just note the lights will only turn on in one position. If you want to you can jumper them and the lights will turn on in both positions.

For pins 1,2,3 it looks like you either use pin 2 or pins 1,3. Pin 2 only will keep the switch lighted at all times.
Using pin 1,3 only will make the switch lights come on when you outside lights are turned on. I think this is ideal. DO NOT connect all 3 of them.

So you could jumper pins 1,3 to pin 5.

I'm not sure right off. I think you may be getting close to needing a power management system like a Blueseas box, Bussmann box, S-pod, etc. A system with relays would be best, but more expensive.

I am going to and have that on the save up list. The guys at my off-road place said they will clean up the wire installs and add the management system. I already have a lower grill light bar and bed lights waiting, those will have to be done after the management system is installed. I am using one of these little guy in the picture to input the three LED lights, Then I have a positive wire for the switch running through firewall but I have used my ACC and PWR port fuses. Every time I try and add my tap a fuse nothing happenes what fuse spot in the panel above your left leg is useable?IMG_3122.jpg

Ok well the Seven pin rocker switch is out the door... I have a simple three pin blue LED switch that I am going to use. I wired all three LEDs to the connector that I showed you, then ran a wire from that to the switch inside the cab to the switch. I grounded the switch to the frame, know I need power! Like I said earlier my ACC and PWR Outlet fuses are already taken up by other accessories. Until I get my off-road place to install a management system in the engine compartment what fuse can I use to tape into under the dash? Making this simple...:

    I mean… it’s a Ford, you don’t care
Why wouldn't you wire them in series and just tap a running light wire? That's what I did and it's worked flawlessly. Or if you don't want to tap a running light, run em to a 3 prong switch

I am using a three prong switch know but have used up the two fuses ACC and PWR Port to tap a fuse for other things and was looking for another one in the underdash fuse box that would work? I don't know how to find a running light wire kinda new and building my knowledge up.... what other spots or fuses can I use another Tap a fuse, those are easy to use. I already have the wire running through the firewall to led lights and the switch grounded to frame just need power!
