    Okay guys I'm looking to put bigger tires on my 2016 trd off-road and I'm between bilstein 5100 and Rancho quick lift??? Any suggestions or advice? Thank you!

    How do you plan on using your truck?

    If you are looking at doing something simple, any of those 2 will get the job done. I would go with the Bilstein.

    If you are going to be doing more off road with your truck as well and willing to spend a little bit more $$, our Chase kit is a great option! Boxed UCA paired with a King 2.5 Coilover!

    Again, what are going to do? Do you need clearance for tires? Serious off-roading. You can get the same options as rancho with a leveling kit and maintain everything else. I put a supreme kit on my 2016 DC - LB - TRDOR. 2.5 in the front, 1.5 rear. Running 285-70-17's on it with no issues.

    This kit has diff drop, skid plate drop, good quality and easy to install.

    My shop guy has King 2.5 Coilovers with 285/75/16 but he does rub.

    You should be fine with 275/70/16 with a little trimming.

    Not sure why you would want a lifted 2wd truck. Does the 2wd lift/leveling kit come with an affliction shirt?

    You do know that 95% of Off Road Race trucks...Trophy, Class 1 etc...are 2wd?

    Less weight up front, more wheel travel and less things to break.

    Justin Matney is the only guy ( that I can think of ) in the Trophy Truck class running a 4wd.

    BJ, Robby, Bryce etc...2wd

    I suspect 99.99999% of Tacoma owners aren't off road racing in their trucks. Including you. That's a completely different situation. To each his own. Most people I know, laugh at guys that lift their 2wd truck. Why not go with some wheels and 265 tires? That's a great look.

    I guess I can say I fall in this category, because I don't race professionally. I don't race for trophies or money. I just so for the girls and the bragging right. lol JK I really don't race my truck but I do like to push the envelope probably more than I should

    Completely understand

    I'm not even talking about about full off road racing.

    You will see a lot of Long Travel 2WD trucks just having fun in the desert.

    Don't get me wrong, 4wd is very important in these situations but with a 2wd truck, all you need is decent HP and continues movement and you are good to go.

    Like I mentioned, less weight up front, more wheel travel and less things to break.

    We have built both 4wd and 2wd...70/30 2wd to 4wd.

    As for my truck, not at all. We have our race trucks and buggys for that! Haha! :thumbsup:

    Hope the OP got a satisfactory answer to his question. I'd like to jump in with my own question. What's the best leveling kit, or just maybe a two inch lift.

    No Off Roading whatsoever. Maybe drive it on the beach once in a blue moon, but otherwise strictly on the pavement.

    I will have the TRD Pro wheels, black matte, 4R. Also will have BFG K02s 265/70R17s

    So leveling or two inch lift will be solely for looks.

    If it's just a 2 inch level on the front for looks, a leveling kit is the cheapest way to go. It's basically a block under the front shocks. Being how simplistic the parts are, I don't know if brand makes a difference. The parts will run a couple hundred bucks or less probably. Any off road shop should be able to install it, as well as probably any repair shop. The tires and wheels you have will fit without a leveling kit, but a 2 inch level will look great.

    So just to make it clear, a two inch lift and a leveling kit are basically the same thing. Is that correct?

    A four inch lift I think is too much for my taste. I do have a shop near by, so I'll check with them next week. They usually do my window tint, but I know they do a lot of lift kits.

    Thanks for the information! I do a little off roading but nothing crazy. I just mainly like the look of a slightly lifted truck (There's a fine line between frat bro and practicability)

    I've had two leveling kits installed. Both were around $300. You can do it yourself in about and hour for the cost of the spacers which is roughy $100. Most people seem to hate on the spacer type kits. I personally haven't ever had an issue. I have no use for a high dollar suspension lift I just like the look of a leveled truck.
