So i apologize if this topic has been beat to death....i'm on my second day driving a 2017 Tacoma V-6. This morning and today after work , after minutes of waiting for the idle to drop below a 1000 i got tired of waiting. Anyone have a legit quick tip for me ? I really love the truck....and thanks !

Do you need to know, or care?
Watch your engine temp, it won't drop until it reaches normal engine temps, that is normal. Gone are the days of carbs and chokes. Stepping on the gas will do nothing, your computer controls the idle.

What is the concern with under 1000 rpm? Drive it.
