Slow is good for now. I'm new to the site so I'm reading up on old threads as well as current ones trying to educate myself a little.

I'm always up for a challenge.

Let me just start out by offering an apology to anyone out there that I might offend. What I said was only intended as humor and I apologize if I did not present it in that light. This is not related to anything specific, but I figured it would be a good thing to have one in the bank to start out with.

i turn 50 in december i guess i'm the baby of the bunch here. i found this thread in april after shoulder surgery and i'll tell you the group of folks here really helped me make it through the recovery. it's a great supportive group. we get a little carried away sometimes but it's all in fun and as there's ladies on here we keep it from being crude but have alot of fun

You know @Casper66 I see your avatar and think – none of these Millennials that I see at work, sporting their fan stuffs never had the privilege of seeing this in the theater back in 77 like we did.

You got that right. Bow season now, but I have not had the chance to bow hunt for a couple of years. I had a great shotgun season last year - shot three times and killed two. Still have a lot of meat in the freezer, but looking forward to this season. If nothing else, sitting out in a fence row or a tree for a few hours a day for a week is very therapeutic to say the least.

That's cool. I appreciate it. I just took ownership of my truck. Not really a whole lot of questions. I still have to go get it and bring it home so I don't have a full evaluation yet. I do know the timing belt and waterpump need changed. Other than that it's pretty much a stock 98 driven by a little old lady and very well pampered, though used like a 4x4 truck should.

Damn you sure you didn't escape from Iowa to take that beautiful picture?! :p Yeah most of us joke and most things said on here are hopefully taken lightly.

I'm really torn and want to get back up there ASAP before the snow gets too deep.

i usually shoot archery competitively (not sying i set the world on fire) year round and hunt every chance i get. i try to put at least 5 in the freeze every year. i didn't get to hunt at all last year, not much the year before, and this year no bowhunting the shoulder isn't strong enough yet. i pity the poor things though when muzzleloader rolls around

nope and they missed out. with the luxury of dvd's and bluerays i have all but the newest one. it's funny watching the first thre and remembering how state of the art the special effects were and comparing them to the new ones
