Use it or loose it for me. 40hrs sick time accumulates each year. I had a job offer last year at Smith Medical and turned it down due to only having 2 weeks PTO for vacation, sick & personal combined.

I get 3 weeks PTO, and 5 or 6 "Personal Choice Holidays" depending on the year. Plus I work from home Mondays and Fridays. Nothing rolls over though. And no clue about sick days. I just work from home when I get sick.

I just got back from the shop. I got 265/75 KO2s put on! They look amazing. However, the new full size spare was just barely touching the exhaust so I need to find a solution for that. Any ideas?

I lowered mine and forced it away from the exhaust and tightened it back up. Forgave it plenty of space then.

On a lighter note... I really want to buy this... Like really bad....

Alright, back to the shop in the morning to give it another shot. If that doesn't work I'll stop by the hardware store for a chain and a lock. Chain it down to the tie downs in the bed.

Going paintballing at P&L in Bridgewater tomorrow morning. Should be fun!

Let me know how P&L is - I was thinking of getting back into airsoft and they joined up with the stronghold field.

I have another 30 hours or so I need to use or lose. It shouldn't be too difficult to do before the end of the year.

We have a crazy project run coming up of 100 hours straight, so I'm pushing to work it. I'm trying to get them to allow me to work 7 AM to midnight for a Monday-Thursday run and then a normal Friday. I'd probably net 75% of the cost of a set of BFGs for my truck in OT. I volunteered to work 3 PM to 3 AM this week for a different project instead of my normal hours. That beat me up pretty well.

I am helping my best friend throw a new suspension on his WRX tomorrow. It's 10 years old and has something like 175K on it and everything's original. Here's to hoping no broken bolts. He's been soaking everything in PB Blaster for a week.

Ah suspension work that's fun. Never seize anything going back in... Also if they're coilovers buy a sleeve and it'll save the life of the coilover for future adjustments. I believe ISC suspension makes sleeves for import coilovers.

Already been to Toyota this morning. Manager talked to me about the needle bearing tsb. He had never heard of it. Tried to blame feathered tires and the lift. Took him for a ride he said it sounded like the tires. Switched on 4wd and he was confused it if his mind. He talked to the shop foremen and he was confused so they agreed to do the work in hopes it fixes the issue. I guess I am schooling them.

Honestly that's how it is in our world. There are a lot of times where the Mitsu, Subie and Nissan dealership are contacting my shop for help because they can't fix something and we have more experience with the cars than they do... Same goes for tacoma's my tenant has never heard of the bearing issue nor has he heard of rebuilding the front axles... He told me to outright replace them, that's the difference between the aftermarket and dealer world. My tenant also does aftermarket work too for import tuners but when it comes to dealership work in my opinion a lot of times I see service writers throwing darts hoping to hit the target with issues.

I think there are a ton of things that the average dealer mechanic won't run into. Most of the guys off-roading/racing and breaking things tend to replace with aftermarket and avoid the dealer.

My friend works at Toyota and he calls me once and awhile asking about off-road Tacoma things wondering if I have any insite. He had never heard of the needle bearing issue either.

He knows everything about jeep TJs and has a sweet one ton buggy and a Built TJ. But knows nothing other than the basics about toyotas even though he works on them everyday lol.

Maybe I missed it but did you go to the dealer with a copy of the TSB? I showed up and showed them the paperwork and said this is my exact problem. A week later the truck was dropped off and fixed in about 3 hours.

They're not coilovers, just STi Pink wagon springs and KYB Excel shocks/struts. The only issues we ran into was a nut/bolt assembly losing their threads, but I'm not convinced Subaru doesn't crossthread it's bolts from the factory. The only thing that was shocking was the lower bolts on the shock body were actually on tighter than my impact could pull em off. We ended up using the jack handle as a breaker bar.

Yup brought a copy with me. Manager was cool though, he has a Denali on 35s . Just wish he was there last week so I wouldn't have to drive back and forth.
