You can buy a Ruger American in .308 for about $400 out the door. I hit a 12" steel target at 725yds with that Rifle with factory FMJ and a $125 Redfield scope. Best bang for the buck for a rifle if you ask me!

My father in law has Ruger Scout .306 (IIRC) that I love shooting, and I found out that you can order it with left hand bolt action (I'm like Sam, goofy eyed shooter. Lefty with Right eye dominant, its super fun stuff). I've wanted one ever since. Then the in law's 'local' FFL guy out of his house, got me a AR-7 for about $50 over what I would have paid anywhere else (yay. support local business.....) and then when I said "Yeah at some point I'd like to buy a Ruger Scout, but I'm buying a house and my wife is pregnant so it won't be anytime soon" he just up and ordered it and then hounded me for like 6 months to get me to buy it or even put a deposit on it, and then bugged my Father In law about it when I said I wasn't interested, especially for $200 more than Cordelia Gun exchange quoted who's like 5 minutes up the road from me. That's why I have issues with 'support local businesses' sometimes.

 

I like it. Best part of working for 2 months straight with 1 day off every 13 days, I can get both as well

I mean the RR5 is straight up the TRD beadlock, it even has the screw holes for the Beadlock ring.

 

I know it happens all the time. But usually they at least change something little about it like adding a beadlock ring or something lol. These are just straight up stolen. How the F is that guy a vendor?

I'm going featureless to avoid registration, I don't run a forward pistol grip so whatever, I'm fine running a compensator, collapsible stock meh only time I collapse it is to fit into its tiny case.

On the plus side no registration and you get a regular mag release, no bullet button!!!
