    Hey Guys

Picked up my new Taco tonight from a dealer in NYC. Got a 3 year lease.
2017 Tacoma TRD Sport Access cab, Magnetic gray, 6 speed manual v6 4x4.
Enjoying it so far. Its my first truck.

My other cars are a worked '12 Corvette & '92 Sentra SE-R, but the vette goes into hibernation soon & a little tired of driving the SE-R all winter after 6 years of ownership. Figured the Tacoma would be a good addition and can do a lot of things those 2 cant. Im always working on my house & at the least it will be helpful for Home Depot runs lol

Any local Tacoma meets on Long island?

    -Kevin

Good to have more long island members on the board. You get your county or state beach passes yet?

You run a '92 SE-R through Northeast winters and it hasn't returned to the Earth via a pile of iron oxide?

Pics or it doesn't exist! New truck looks great!

Welcome to the forums. As you see I'm fairly new on here too. Great looking truck. If you don't mind can you share what lease deal you got on your Tacoma?
    Thanx

thanks, 2500 down $382 month including GAP, lowjack & some useless paint protection thing..
this was the best I could find, the other 5 dealers I went to either didnt want to get me one in manual, or they wanted 420 month + GAP with 3500 down.
They all said Auto would be cheaper, but eff that

    Thanx for the quick response.
When you say $2500 down that's all out of pocket you gave at signing or there was extra fees added on top? Is tax in the payment? What dealer did you end up getting it from?

lol shes got some of the typical b13 rust spots in the jambs, and a small spot in the wheel well, but I POR-15nd them.. I bought the car 6 years ago with 77k on the clock.. just hit 110k this year. Car has always been garaged since I owned it.

2500 is all i gave out of pocket , that all went towards any fees/taxes.. I guess whatever tax is leftover is spread out in the payments. It was supposed to be 363 / month, but I didnt know the GAP would be so high until I was signing the docs, they wanted $30 / month extra for that, but I got them to cut it down to 18.. the buyout is $25000 if I want to, $350 lease termination fee if I dont buy
I went to Toyota of Manhattan, reason is a friend of mine is a manager at a Lexus dealer, so he called over there & told them to hook me up. They had to swap one from a dealer in NJ. If they had one on the lot maybe the deal would have been better. All the long island dealers wanted a lot more and would have had to swap also. I checked out of state dealers as far as New Hampshire, but they wanted about 2900 down $400 / month + extras

Welcome from a fellow Long Island Tacoma owner.

I had a really good experience from Penn Toyota in Long Island. Would recommend them to any Tacoma buyer.

I think GAP insurance is included depending on who is the lease provider. I was able to go through a local credit union since I work/live on the Island.

My biggest issue was not being able to get a 15K mile per year lease. I went with the credit union over Toyota as they were more expensive though the buyout was cheaper naturally.

Good luck with the truck. As some have already warned this board is great and filled with a lot of awesome people but there are a few that have had issues with their 3rd Gen Tacomas and freak out all the newbies, myself included.

Beautiful! I have such a soft spot for early 90's Japanese cars. The first manual I learned to drive was a 1992 Sentra XE that later was converted to look similar to the SE. Those wheels look like SSR Integrals? They fit the car well.

Love the Vette too! I recently went across the aisle and picked up a 1999 since MKIV Supras are good plated and 300ZX TTs are unobtainium in the Northeast.
