Once the ECU is flashed there's not going back to stock.
You would need a new ECU to do so

Hmm that's new to me.

I know my reflash from Toyota for the TRD SC is non reversible

 

I believe they were saying on here that that's the reason why you can't go to a Toyota dealership and have them do it??

Would a Toyota dealership even do the Magnuson sc install??

 

The TRD ECU flash is NOT compatible with the Magnuson supercharger kit. We have a kit that comes with the Bully Dog handheld tuner that will include a tune for the supercharger unit or a member can get the kit without the tuner to use their own tuning system.

In order to get the warranty from Magnuson, then an ASE certified shop has to do the install. That can include your local Toyota dealership or an ASE certified shop you trust. Let me know if you have any questions in a PM and I will answer as soon as I get back on this forum.

My "hesitation" had nothing to do with the number of participants. As I said, I'm traveling this weekend and needed time to discuss the purchase with my better half. I didn't realize this would have such a short fuse. Since it does I made time to discuss with the wife this morning... I'm IN, whether we hit 20% or not.

FWIW, I greatly appreciate the leg-work in organizing this. In the vein of constructive feedback, however, I offer that 24-36hrs is not a reasonable amount of time for most folks to consider their options, decide to act, and gather their funds for a purchase of this magnitude. Moreover, most (all?) of us have careers and lives away from TW. Not everyone checks the forums or their email every day. Patience is the key with these things. @big_jarv and @TIM.TRDSparks arranged a GREAT deal here. I'll be surprised if they don't end up with quite a few takers, as long as they give folks time to consider, decide, and gather...

 

As mentioned in other posts after that we did away with the cap of 20 people.

So even if you had a dealer flash the ecu it wouldn't work with this kit? Seems strange since I thought it was the same everything with out trd stamped on the sc. Do you have more info on this like is it not compatible if you want the warranty or it won't run right with the trd flash?
