The third gen section is starting to look like a Chevy forum.

"2000 miles on my 2016. No issues so far!"

Hey thanks for chiming in 2nd gen guy. The point of this is to see if those comments are really warranted

Truck has been very good. I have the bottle blowing noise at around 40mph. I also have a driveline vibration between 60-65mph but not bad and will have it look at next trip to the dealer. I'm thinking it's just a pinion angle adjust ment. I read a lot of post on the new third gen, negative ones. It did cause me to look at other trucks but cam back around. I did buy a extended warranty for the first time. I hope my taco will be a good as my FJ was.

I have had a transmission failure. The transmission and torque converter will be replaced Tuesday. I have 2000 miles on my 2016 TRDOR. I babied this truck and, aside from my front yard, I have never been off road.

I would say being left on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck after spending $30k is a pretty big deal.

We are all just lucky so far that it hasn't happened out in the middle of nowhere where no tow truck is willing to go.

Waiting for TSB on leaf spring recall. Squeaking started at 1100 miles, I have 5400 on the clock. The service manger said last week this repair is eight to ten weeks out???
Does anyone have any new updates on this issue?

I don't think this poll is an accurate representation of issues. There are previous members who have had their trucks bought back by Toyota, traded problematic ones in, and move on to other vehicle hence they aren't present to attend to this thread.

I can only think of 2 members that actually had toyota buy theirs back.
Besides how would that be so inaccurate? So maybe 2-3 are missing. WOW so many, I guess the 121 no don't mean anything right?

It seems very few canadian models have had issues
    O'Canada :canada::canada::canada::canada:

It was funny when I was talking to the dealer about that the service techs even said, considering they are all made in the same factory and relatively identical trucks, its amazing how much an US spec and Canadian spec can differ.
From what I've heard all TRD spec ones in Canada (at least from the two dealers I've asked) are Texas made. They didn't confirm if canadian spec is ONLY made in Texas, but they are yet to receive one on the lot that wasn't Texas made.

If this poll isn't accurate, which it really isn't, then TW comments and threads can't be taken as common problems either. If anything what's inaccurate would be the fact that a lot more people are likely to have joined because they have problems rather than people that just own one and who are not enthusiasts. Also there have still been plenty of new people making threads lately and if there is a big problem then there will be a constant flow of new people with those problems, if the few early ones left and they aren't more to replace them then it would suggest that some of those issues might have either been one offs or been resolved. I'm not defending toyota qc or any of the issues these trucks do have. There are issues, I just want to know if it's major stuff or minor

There is not one yet. According to the service manager this is the time frame he quoted me!
It's frustrating and embarseing to have a new truck with this issue!

He probably means only 5 real yes votes and the others trolls and second gen owners voting.

I can almost guarantee this. We all know if you have a bad experience you tell other about it. That's why the forums seem so filled with issues and complaints. However only a few have actually chimed in here. If they came in to legitimately vote, I'm almost positive they would say a few words. So I'm taking most of those as troll posts.

That being said of course there are a few who sold or traded their trucks in, most of which I don't believe are still active here. However a few still are. That being said its not a true representation but it's not hat many and I think even including them, and the few who actually have voted correctly still may not account to 18 total votes.
