Unbelievable. People freakin suck. This guy is 20 minutes down the road from me and likes to wrench on cars to help out friends and family. Apparently he has bitchy neighbors and they're trying to sue him and get his garage torn down for running an illegal business.

He had a gofundme page set up to support him and help pay his legal fees. I'm donating, help out of you can or want. So thankful my neighbors were chill as I worked from my home until we found a legit shop.

 

It's all about zoning. Most people who buy homes in residential neighborhoods do not want to live next to an illegal noisy rowdy business.

 

I worry about this all the time...since we're always working on shit out of our garage...sometimes all night. Thankfully no one has ever complained

Sure. But he's been to court and the judge said he is doing nothing wrong or breaking any laws. So this tells me the neighbors need to go eff themselves.

 

Just be smart. I had tractor trailers in and out of my neighborhood and fork lifts unloading 24' sticks of steel weekly. I made sure no noise was made after 3pm when kids got home from school and no noise before 8am. I know what I was doing was super illegal per HOA rules and town code lol. Thankfully neighbors were cool and knew I was doing everything I could to get a shop quick.

City noise ordinance means i can make as much noise as i want from 6am to 11pm every day.

 

But it's all hearsay. It's was the plantiff is claiming and there's been no proof to back it up. I could sue my neighbor in fear for my life of his dragon and it would go on record that I claim this, doesn't make it true.
