i think we had mid 40's when i got up this morning and that's enough of that crap i like waking up in the 70's

Almost hit 70 today and it was the pheasant opener. Too hot for me AND the dog. Supposed to be 72 tomorrow so no better. Although think it will be perfect to take a trip to the river and let the dog swim and see what birds are heading South along the Mississippi. Once the cranes fly it is all over until Spring, guaranteed to not get above freezing much. If at all. Heard the mallards are already passing but honestly don't have much desire to shoot them right now.

She's great, Mike! Thanks for asking. She hasn't brought it up in about a week. Mom, on the other hand, worries every time she hears sirens. She was on her way to the school that day when all of those cops started passing her. She just felt something was wrong.

Kids are more resilient then the parents. Time will heal that, hopefully.

Was ~60* here and got up into the mid 80's. I like that low temp, but I like mid 70's for the high.

Here we go again! @ work, and not especially over joyed about that. Got a busy day tomorrow, THEN, vacation starts! Head for the woods!

 

Morning all.
Outdoor work for today. Final mow and chainsaw work. Clean up then start converting the rider over its winter setup. Seems funny not to have a third vehicle in the yard after almost 25 years. But a new one will be added next year.
Jeep seems to be ok after its sensor replacement.
So oil and filter change ,pressure wash the undercarriage , sand and paint with rust stop then paint then fluid film.
The Taco got its belly washed last night so same ritual for it also.
Even going to take the ac out of the Windows next week.
It's not going to be long.
Had a freeze the other night.
