Agreed... If I was wondering where my grille was, or in what stage of completion it was in, I wouldn't be posting on a forum, I would just call direct and ask.

 

As someone who is considering buying the grill, I appreciate people posting questions about the delays so I know what to expect if I decide to order.

 

Some of it has to do with the lead times and being billed immediately without any clear delivery time. This held me from ordering which turned out to benefit me because I like the economy grill a little better which I did order because of the promise of shipping by the end of October.

Honestly, I don't think anyone including JLee thought original orders would take close to 6 months to ship after being billed. I know things happen but that is a long lead time for anything.

 

I'd wait a year for this grille. I'm not settling for something less just to have it sooner.

 

Send me your money and I'll hold it, then if they come in stock I'll order and ship it out to you. You will be happy and in todays economy I may make $.63 in interest. LOL

Not that this helps you, but I am #3549 and Jerry said my grille will ship sometime next week.

 

3580 here, hope it comes soon Any info available about the investigation of looking into o-rings or some type of washer to protect the grille's powder coat? Does it come with anything now for the bolt heads or upgraded kit?

 

I asked Jerry about that last week and he said they still didn't have anything to test yet. I'm just assuming mine will ship without anything.

For reference, I'm AB-3584, ordered July 20, and I haven't received an email yet either.

 

Just checked their website and it now states a 12 week lead time instead of 8.

I just want this fuckin grille before winter hits. It'll be a PITA doing this install with cold weather.

 

Also, not understanding how us being on that group of 30 extras they had cut allowed for a quicker turn around time... I guess I just fell for a marketing line.

 

All orders up to mid August are in the powder coat phase and will be starting to ship around the end of next week. It could be a little later as our power will be off in the shop for a full day this week for an electric upgrade and machine install.

We are trying our best to get orders out as quickly as possible but these things take time to make and it's not all we make in the shop we are building other parts as well so i cant just put all hands on the grilles and those customers have been waiting much longer then anyone with a pending grille order.

As for the rubber washers were getting a few samples to try out nothing will be shipped with a grille until I decide on one that works. We supply small black washers already for installing it you just have to carefully install it using hand tools.
