    good point.
I had two different dealers tell me the TRD OR and Sport are the same just aesthetics.
But hey dealer I ended up buying mine from was actually very knowledgeable with the trucks. That might be because I went more into the country where they sell more trucks instead of buying from a city dealer who only sells camrys corollas and rav4s lol.

Dude I know a few people switched over from WRXs. I did for the reliability of Toyota and the capability of the Tacoma!

I've met the odd few sales reps that actually knew a thing or two about the cars they were selling.
Most know nothing though. I gave up on one dealer when I went for the test drive and the sales rep told me the tacoma wasn't offered as a manual, after I corrected him he then said "you probably know more about the truck than me"

    jetta TDI lol
I've always had cars and modified the tits outta them, but got tired of buying something then making it a pain in the ass to daily drive due to rough ride from stiff suspension or being too low, and no reliability because the engines were always modified.

I used to have an 05' Outback XT. Lots of fun with plenty of power with the turbo. Thought the turbo was thirsty, I averaged about 19mpg with a mix of highway and city driving. But I knew some other folks that had the regular 2.5i engine, they averaged 28 or better.

I went through 4 different dealers, finally figured fuck all the city dealers none of them are getting the OR in for a test drive, went out to a more rural area about 45min-hour drive straight north of the city. Had more trucks on lot than any other model. Had a farm on etiher side of the dealer and across the street too lol. Sales rep knew about the trucks, even told me go for a drive, didn't even care to come with me told me go for a drive come back when you've driven it enough (went for 30min drive)
Came back talked numbers, told him I wanted to go to the original dealer I was dealing with, asked me what would they need to give me to get me to sign right now, I named my price. Thinking back to it now I almost think I should've tried to go lower but I figured I'd be reasonable. After about 2 min of the rep talking to the manager said we're good.

Got a decent deal, basically got it at MSRP and got tonneau cover and block heater for free.

I'll still be modifying the truck to make it more capable off road but thats about it.
Not touching the engine. Just suspension, and maybe gears. Then just armor and recovery gear.

2009 forester, 45L tank city driving lucky to get 500km a tank.
Not sure what that works out to in MPG but it sucks. Great car otherwise though.

I had a 04 wrx STI, that thing was terrible. would get 300km a tank.

My dealer didn't know crap. There mostly just selling, doesn't matter if its trucks or flooring.

That works out to about 25mpg, for city driving that's not too bad. Especially being AWD.

This. I do the same. I wait until I get to the part of my route that has minimal hard turns.

Cool video, I love those Engineering Explained vids...I didn't know he had done one in a Tacoma.

I like how the 2nd half of the video basically proves how useless the auto-lsd is for off-roading, lol. Would've been interesting to see him do this video in the TRD OR instead.
