If it makes you feel any better, I had three different shops try to align my truck and the most caster I could get at just under 2" of lift was 1.6. That is with a significant amount of positive camber (within "spec," whatever that's worth). You can see a pronounced \--/ if you look at the front of my truck.

I'd be really surprised if you got much more than 1 degree of caster with 3" of lift on your stock UCAs. I can sympathize with the fact that you didn't get what you thought you would though. That's happened to me too many times to count.

Because the angle on your ball joint is very different than mine. Your full droop looks more like my ride height. IMG_20151116_191015873.jpg

Mine are the old version, freshly rebuilt with some low-mileage stock balljoints. Alignment satisfactory at something less than three inches of lift. At the recommended maximum preload per Icon, 2" thread showing so I can't go any higher.

Think it is a combination of the springs settling and the extra stuff added to the truck since initial installation. When the coilovers are due for a rebuild, 700lb springs will be going on. Well, that is the current thought.

I haven't had any issues with them. But I don't wheel or anything. But if I was to do it again, I would go JBA all the way

Looks like livinserene has a torn boot on the moog and the boot on EDDO's doesnt look like its Moog, but some other manufacturer. My Moog boots had 1/2 inch tears in them within a few months and i didnt like the way the camburg caps installed- moisture was getting past and rusting the inside of the cup- badly in a very short amount of time. I have since replaced moog boots with urethane boots and modified the caps to use a a long shaft zirk fitting to "lock" the cap down and allow me to grease the balljoint without removing the cap. I now seal the cap with silicone gasket material and liberally coat the cup with anti seize compound before installing the cap. No moisture past the cap, no rust after 1 yr. The cap can easily be pried off once the zirk is removed. I can post pictures of part numbers for zirk and urethane boot if interested

You have a good eye - my arms are the previous generation that use OEM ball joints. Thanks for mentioning the rust issue - my caps haven't been off since installation. I'll have to do that now.

I like the idea of having a sealed ball-joint instead of a uniball to avoid corrosion and squeaking.
When are you going to offer this for the 95-04 Tacoma's?

IMG_1751.jpg Pretty dirty but you can see the zirk extended through the cap and the urethane boot and the little red line between the cap and cup is silicone gasket. Now I can grease er up without removing cao

I'd be totally interested in part/part numbers for your modification. I ruined an o-ring installing one cap, found suitable replacements that were just slightly thinner and didn't roll out of the groove when installing but I'd prefer a little more positive order of assembly with a mechanical retention of the cap that doesn't require a rubber mallet to seat.

I'll look up part numbers and post. Took longer to find them than To do it. Same issue kept rolling O ring out of groove and tearing it. Plus o ring is odd size. Figured I would never take them off to grease once they were on plus wasn't convinced they would stay on. Went ahead and ran o rings through winter then opened them this spring. Raw steel cups were rusting. Cleaned it all up. Coated cup with the silver anti sieze and came up with this. Personally I think camburg should do it this way.
