2016 Fall Camp & Ride (Citrus & Redrock): Photos and Video

I liked what I saw on other trucks out there, I can see a set in my future.

 

For the love of all that is holy, don't do it! Get something aftermarket that actually looks good

 

SCS makes some damn good lookin wheels. But they're getting played out. I want something you won't see everywhere you go. And I like the unique color combo

 

The wheels posted are the most played out wheel of any wheel. ESPECIALLY in bronze. Bronze is the new black

 

To be honest, Tim, and you know I got made respect for ya, but Redrock is absolutely not a 2WD friendly place. See below...

The tire and steering was fine. I snapped the driver's side cv though. Even locked in the rear, I was having a hell of a time making it up the little shit out there in 2WD. Unless you're lifted and 4WD...with some armor (sliders and skids at least), you're most likely gonna be a spectator...or an anchor on the end of someone's strap/winch. Could have used your winch though.

As far as the climb, it was just too narrow at the top for the OGT. The driver's side body was hard up against the left wall and the passenger side tire was eating about half a tire width into the right wall at the top. In the picture it looks like I could have gone to the left, but I actually couldn't.

If you get some lift, taller tires, and armor, you'd do okay out there. It's pretty extreme though.

 

Thanks, I hear you loud and clear. Need to stay stock a few years, going to take a canoe to Arkansas, and maybe the Grand Canyon, and other rivers a long drive away, before I get to old to lift said canoe. But I can see myself as an even older fart with a lifted truck some day.

 

On a fun note, Frank and I finally got to deliberately use the kick-outs on out sliders for the purpose they were designed for out there at Redrock.

 

And I got to find out that I need sliders

None. It's about 15 or so minutes away. I just followed

I believe those were a limited time only finish. Plus I don't think they'd go great with the silver.

 

That thread is current, if 20 people commit they will run another limited batch. I thought someone posted a silver truck with those but it may have been white.
