    No it makes it unlabeled
    It allows a mfg to expose and sell more product to the public.
    These are not cheaper knock off copies of anything that I can find.
    They are AP bumpers, price is all that matters.
    Cant wait till mine arrive,I already have plans for extra gussets and reinforcements before install.
    Ive broken a few bumpers,I know where they break

    I may be missing some info, I haven't read all 248 pages. Is this seller approved by AP to sell their bumpers? Did AP give the "mfg" authorization to sell their bumpers through a different outlet? Last I thought, this was an unauthorized COPY of the AP bumper.
    Let me get this right. You/they reverse engineer a product from a company you/they use to work for. You/they get the metal cut in China, then shipped to the shop in CA where it gets welded together. Am I about right on that?
    If it is not approved/made by AP (who the design belongs to), that makes it a COPY. Even if you/they reverse engineer the bumper and welding jig. Even if you/they get the metal cut from the same company. If it is not built through AP (or AP approved source), it is a COPY.

    Yes, it's an unauthorized copy made in China. OP bought an AP bumper. His uncle's company reverse engineered it and had it produced in China. Said uncle is the distributor of these copies. I don't doubt they are a perfectly good bumper - I just think the way it went down is bogus. AP doesn't have a copyright though (I don't think), so...

    The ebay link is from page 1.
    I messaged seller and he says they have 12 ready to ship. He also said they have more on their way.
    I'm not sure why members stopped buying on ebay and started buying through the private seller? Maybe @TexasInfidel knows?
