**RECOVERED** bottom of Miller Jeep Trail - SoCal

Hey SOLA PEOPLE. this is a mild SOS . Me, Erik, Steve, Bryan are stuck at the bottom of Miller jeep trail in Gorman. We can't get Steve out. We need a hooked up 4x4 with good tires, snatch straps and a winch. Please if anyone can help.

update...A group of 3 4x4 went down miller jeep trail and 1 2wd. Made it down, but apparently it goes back up for 5 miles. Then tried straps, which is all they have, to get him through but feel they need somebody with a winch.

 

They went out to grab food and water and will be there until recovered

Yeah I've been following this on the SOLA thread, @BAMFTACO is on his way out there now.

Miller Jeep trail ends at the bottom then you take Lockwood out, pretty sure that's what they're referring to about having to go back up. A lot of narrow switchbacks. Lockwood itself can be tricky especially in 2wd. If the other trucks are 4wd they should be able to pull him along I would imagine. Sounds like they need a winch though to get him unstuck, there are always a lot of Jeeps on that trail hopefully someone comes along soon that's equipped with one. I'm winchless and only have straps as well but it sounds like @BAMFTACO has some recovery gear

 

Right now, they planning on spending the night.

Is it just steve that's stuck? I can't offer any help, but I'm curious and this'll keep it bumped.

Where did you guys start from? I would think it would be easiest to go out the Lockwood Valley Road side. It's mostly downhill that way.

 

yeah, im sorry bout that. just curious, sometimes when your stuck you have a lot of time on your hands. good luck, i had to call for a recovery this past wed.

I'm just relaying the info, as I get it. They started off the top Alamo mountain loop, at the campground area
