I'm still up in the air to picking blisten or OME gear to do my lift. I'm thinking between toytec ultimate lift kit although their back ordered so I'm contemplating going and getting OME lift kit from the toytec site ($699) but here's a question....

1.) do you need to drop the front diff for a 3" lift? Whats the pros/cons?
2.) do you need the front sway bar relocate? pros/cons?

what else am i missing for the OME kit if I go that route...I won't even ask opinion on which is better as they're are way too many threads on that and still no clear concise winner. (althoug I don't know if the toytec ultimate kit is worth the cost diff!!)

    thanks

i know you need the sway bar relocate for the toytec lift so there will be room for the coilovers...i think the diff drop some do it and some don't...depends if you are getting vibrations and stuff after you lift

Yeah I know people with and without them. I just added a diff. drop kit for the hell of it.

Sway bar relocates are only needed for the toytec coilovers, as far as the diff. Drop, that's totally up to u! I know I don't have it and have had no problems. But if it gives u peace of mind then by all means putem on!

I have the OME kit- Did not need the diff drop for mine, but that does not mean you won't need it. I suggest getting the OME gear to do the lift and then if you have problems with vibes- Add the diff drop later.
I also did not need the sway bar relocate (altho now I have no sway bar at all.....) The Toytec Kit I think has that collar to make the adjustable and that makes the sway relocate necessary...

As stated, no need for the sway bar relocate, but ToyTec's stance on the diff drop kit, if you are at the full 3 inches, PUT IT IN.

CHEAP insurance policy for your CV axles. :)

Idk that there is a difference in them since there pretty much spacers lol,I didn't put one on my OME kit that I had on my last taco and it was fine.

I just toke my diff drop off(im at 3 inches of lift)It made no difference. My inner cv boot fins rub exactly the same with or without the diff drop. Also, with the diff drop your front diff is now hanging down a little witch makes it more likely to get damaged.
