Roof rack lights

Anybody know how much wind noise is associated with the factory roof rack? I am considering mounting a LED either in the lower grill or on the roof rack as seen below.

Thats a badass 4 runner. I will have to show that to the wife to see if she wants a setup like that..... I wouldnt mind it.

For what its worth, I haven't seen lights for the Tacoma roof rack. I was hoping to find something sleek and OEM'ish but all I've seen are these huge bars along the top that are typically screwed onto the flat surface of the roof rack. Lights for the lower portion of the bumper would be better. I like that set-up.
I want a light bar without the tabs. Perhaps some LEDs in the lower portion of the grill would be a great substitute.

 

in the photo the lights say rigid industries. I checked the manuf. website and that LED lightbar is $999.99. Wicked cool, though not cool as $1,000.00 in my pocket.

 

i have had the factoy racks since the day i bought the truck, they came with the truck from the dealer. in the folded/stowed position, i dont hear any noise up there.

i tried unfolding the bars out just to compare one day and turned off my radio. at about 40 mph, the wind was howling up there thru the rack! it was crazy loud, but with the radio on, it wouldn't have been so bad. and when i use it to carry my surfboard, it's also pretty noisy over 55mph.

so, i think with lights up there, you'd definitely hear it. but it would be manageable if you listen to your radio at 30+ like me.

 

Yea, I think I'm going to stick with the original plan and flush mount it into the lower grill.
