I'm most definitely inexperienced myself, but isn't a 2wd truck at that point like a Smart car without wheels???:goingcrazy::ballchain: Just say'n :notsure:

I'm glad things went well for ALL!!! Most definitely mad props to the rescuers involved and the people @imtaconico and @dtaco06 for coordinating the communications for the rescue team.:fistbump::cheers:

Just wondering, NOT important of course, but were there any pictures taken?:notsure:

We all made it back safe. I can not thank enough the guys that came to our aid to help out people they never met, to help us tow Steve out in the dark for nearly 7 hours and that doesn't include the time it took them to get to Gorman then get through to the bottom of Miller jeep trail witch was easily 3-4 hours. So these guys spent about 12 hours of their time and dropped anything they were doing to help fellow wheelers in need. I can not find the right words to express how thankful I am, and these guys give me faith in humanity lol. And I didnt forget all the people on the forums and Facebook, SCOR, ECT. I'm sorry I can not name you all, but you know who you are. THANK YOU FOR GETTING US THE HELP WE NEEDED. and I saw some people asked for pictures and what not. Giving our situation, photos were not out top priority , getting Steve out and everyone else out safely was out main focus. I did not want to sit and snap photos of guys we just met working their asses off just to help us. I felt pretty useless but have learned a great deal from this event. And now know that I have to be prepared for anything all the time when we wheel.

Thank you everyone for helping us out in our time of need.!

No need to apologize, I understand that sudden shout outs for help can be hard to aid in. You did a lot by keeping the people aware of our status, thank you. None of us we're hurt or in serious danger. Just in a bad pickle.

I'd like to thank all who showed up to help especially Charlene and Nicole at the SCOR Facebook page who helped coordinate and kept the info flowing, that was a tremendous help! The dude who showed up from SCOR in his very built Jeep Cherokee was also helpfull, glad he showed up as well.

The actual recovery was fast and uneventful which was a good thing, really nothing to say about it. Except for when I asked for a recovery strap. I was handed a walmart tow strap with steel hooks at both ends. I said NOPE! That is such a safety hazzard that I refused to even touch it. Safety is paramount in recovery situations that requires proper equipment.

Steve the 2wd guy (I forgot his username) now has bragging rights of completing the esteemed and renowned Miller Jeep Trail ( a double black Diamond 4x4 trail) in a 2wd truck. And I doubt that there are any other 2wd owners who can say the same. I don't think he suffered and body damage either, that in its self is pretty outstanding for the Miller Jeep Trail  Great job to everyone involved :headbang:

You're probably right, I wasn't there until after the fact and was just going by what I heard. I'm horrible with remembering names...

Glad everyone made it out safe, and my apologizes! I didn't know that the route I took out or back up MJT was the only way out. I thought there was the other trail but didn't know it was bikes only. I don't know what help I could have been with no winch, no recovery gear & a slipping clutch. Regardless your correct I should have waited! I have no excuse.
again, my apologizes & glad everyone made it out safe!

No excuse, you left people stranded on the trail with inclement weather on the way. You are the lowest of the low and should be forever banished from TacomaWorld
