Houston... changed my mind. I'm set on ordering a 2017 TRD Pro. Spoke to 2 different dealers and one so far hasn't negotiated whatsoever, and the other is at 44,175 drive out and they threw in the roof rack

I'm near there! Would you be open to driving to Conroe? It's about 20-30 miles north of Houston. I got my brand new truck at a Conroe Toyota Dealership for $28,400 + TTL for an SR5 V6 DCSB and that was from $32,000+. Let me know if you're willing to drive down there and I'll PM you the Salesperson Information that hooked me up. I know the Sales Manager there so she helped me drop another couple grand off the total! They might be able to give you a better quote!

    For a 2016? I would wait it out. I paid 33200 for a 17 with tech package.

Conroe isn't too far from me at all. But I'm pretty stuck on wanting to order a 2017 TRD Pro M/T. I know it is nearly impossible to get them to work down the price, and of course they need to make money themselves so that adds on to making it impossible for them to drop it 1-3 grand. Might just say screw it and order it at 44175 drive out this weekend.

    Hi people,

This is my first post here.

I am planning to buy a Tacoma TRD Pro in Cement color and manual transmission in south Florida. I have contacted over 10 dealres in 100 miles radius and one of them is willing to order one for me at msrp which is: $41,710.00 (including Destination) and No Florida dealer fee!

Is this good? I know there is invoice and then there is holdback but on such a rare truck I won't be able to get any of that or would I?

    Thanks for all your helps.

Way too much. OTD should be less than the window sticker. That includes everything/fees/inspection sticker/reg U name it. The amount you're writing the check for (OTD), but I'm not sure when you said $32,665, is that the Window Sticker price or the Dealers Invoice price?

I started my negotiation price at: Dealers Invoice Price minus $1,500 Dealership Holdback. Then we fought it out from there.

When we were more or less done with the back and forth on the price, I said "to close the deal you're going to have to get the service department to swap out my wheels and tires, and install the my hood shield/window visors at No Charge.

I backed out of the same truck I had ordered and was quoted $31K. It didn't include the 5th proper wheel, but you get the point.

When do you expect your truck, I am surprised about the loaner. But then again, that makes it harder for you to back out if they sell your trade

That would have been nice.. I'm suffering having to share a car with the wife until the truck comes in. I should have asked for a loaner.

Usually the Military cash offer is a rebate from Toyota, and not the dealership. It does not affect their profit. It seems like you are paying sticker for the truck. You should get a better deal than that. If they won't take off at least $1000, I'd go elsewhere. Off the point, but what kind of a 5th wheel trailer would you pull with a Tacoma? They aren't rated for much payload weight. Usually 5wheel trailers are pretty large. Tacoma's aren't built to tow that much weight, especially with a 5th wheel hitch. Might be buying the wrong truck if you need a 5th wheel hitch.

I think his 5th wheel is the spare

I see that, now that I re-read the post. I've seen some goofy stuff after 20 years in the car business. I once traded for a pickup that had external headlights screwed down onto the top of the hood.
