Rear axle moving in and out of axle housing about 1/4 inch. any ideas?

    Damn dude, was that a wheel bearing failure? Looks like it separated at the lower ball joint.

    It was a lower ball joint failure. Tore the inner fender up. Tie rod bent,broke brake line,pulled cv axle apart it was a mess

    Makes me glad I just got mine replaced at Toyota last week. Of course, now I'm reading all kinds of horror stories about techs forgetting to put lock-tite on the bolts and them coming loose....LBJ failure is my #1 fear while driving lol.

    I don't loctite them but I check them very regularly. As any noise I hear I check my truck out bc of high milage so I'm always checking everything. Better to be safe than sorry. Reason I don't loctite is because I have broke two of the bolts off changing them before and it's a pain in the ass to get that out
