Interesting...well I've got a 50" plasma. There is no 120 hz options on plasmas. Plasma's are supposedly better for fast motion stuff, is this true?

I've heard that is true, but when you live at an elevation of 6500ft, the Plasma life is short. Any honest salesman will tell you that Plasmas don't work very well for very long above 7000ft. They do really great at an Sea-Level, and will last a long time, and look better than LCD......but for us folks in the high-desert, no way.

Really? I didn't know about that, good thing I don't live that high. I mean, I'm high all the time, I just don't live at a high altitude

Sorry, a little off topic, but here is a great article of the difference between Plasma and LCD:
NOTE: have patience when loading the page, its coming from Australia:
    http://www.cnet.com.au/tvs/0,239035250,240036500,00.htm

there are comments below the article related to the elevation limits as well.
This forum talks about how some Plasmas are made for high-elevation, but I doubt you will find many of them in your local store:
    http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=846665

At any rate, LCD for the high elevation folks is the way to go

AND, Blue Ray is simple awesome on a 120Hz screen......

Check out slickdeals.net. There are always deals in the hot deals forum. Sonycard has $100 of a first purchase, and walmart puts the ps3's on special every now and then. Live.com has up to 25% a buy it now on ebay going too. Go check out the site. I use it all the time.

That said-I still don't have a blu-ray player. There are too many other things I want more than a fancy movie player.

Well it turns out, that I am having such a hard time finding a WII. That I just went ahead and got a PS3 80GB bundle with Metal Gear Solid. I don't own any blu-ray movies. I wonder which new blu-ray movies are good. Any ideas?

Get the PS3.... you can do sooo much more with the Ps3 than you can with a blu-ray player. Why wait? You've got a nice TV - you should start enjoying the benefits of high def NOW instead of waiting for prices to come down.

    We love ours....

OK, now the game to get is the COD4. Is like crack, once you get started, just expect to put in a good couple of hours. The online gaming is AWESOME! I know guys that have gone to Prestige level and looped back around, man! Its the game to get, in my opinion, faster pace than MGS4, and better control too.

    You gotta get it!

Sweet!! Is it a FPS? That's what I like. Friggin games are like 60 bones for the PS3. I can't find the ps3 bundle anywhere local. I ordered it from circuit city, I don't know when I'll get it. I got Ratchet and clank for the wife. She loves the f**k out of the ratchet and clank games for the PS2.

Ohhhh Yeah. IMHO, its the best FPS out there. Fast action, jump, crouch, switching weapons, much, much faster than MGS4

Again, in my humble opinion, yeah, i think is better than HALO. Now you will get the Halo die hards that would contend that opinion, but its just an opinion. I've played halo 1 and 2 to the end and had a blast doing it. but with COD4, you play with a group of guys in a unit (in the game). Then when you play on online (and its free to play online), you can play in teams, or by yourself, or with just one other person.....its really the best.

The graphics are 1080i or p (can't remember), but when you see blood stains all over the walls, or some guys brains flying out the back of his helmet, thats pretty cool.
