True, but it'd be no more dangerous than a standard flatbed that they're loading wrong themselves. :notsure:

Edit- unless they didn't lock it in place, lol.

    *WHUNK!*
    "what was that?"

That's a good idea. Maybe have 2 or 3 places to lock it in with simple directions that people would still screw up

Wow... I'm not sure what I just saw. Trying to rationalize it by telling myself that it looks like the repo man was taking a 5th wheel...

We'd missed peak foliage for that area, I think. The Ash, Elms, and Birches had all shed their leaves, but the Oaks, Maples, Beech, and Poplars were mostly holding theirs.

For sure. They'd have to make the locking mechanism spring-loaded, so if you rolled over the locking point it would automatically click into place.

Nothing, just working - barely. Went wheeling this weekend. Look back a couple of pages and you will see the videos and pictures. Watched football most of the day yesterday while I had my kids

So even with the winter blend fuel my local station is running now the trip up to Weld and back yielded some pretty good MPG's from the Ferd's tiny little motor. The truck definitely likes 50-60mph in rolling hills, because this was my average on the 80-ish mile round trip that included probably 10-15 miles of low-speed washboard-y dirt road driving with steep hills and the lousy mileage that goes along with it.

Makes me wonder what I could have wrangled if I'd had a tank of summer blend, lol.

Pretty Damn good for a full size with a tiny motor. I would have thought that any rolling hills would have killed mpgs with the tiny engine.

Ok guys, Anyone in the NE driven a 4.0 with a supercharger? How does it compare to a N/A engine? Was it a noticeable power jump (like WRX or Evo Power)?

    Neener Neener.

I hypermile (kinda-sorta) out of habit, if there's nobody behind me. I'll let it drop 5-10 mph going up a hill and pick the speed up again on the back side, which helps.

Damn... Mine is reading in the 15 mpg range right now because it's averaging in all the towing from the summer. Almost 2,000 miles at 9-12 MPG really dragged down the average...

I'm sure I would have averaged much lower if I'd been towing anything. But for an unloaded trip with 4 people in the cab, not bad.

Edit- Also, my distance calculation was off; it was around 120 miles for the round trip, not the 80 I thought it was.
