I actually carry this on the right (my right your left) side of that belt loop but that was the first time I wore this holster.

F that noise. If I'm going to try and conceal a full-size it's going to be my SR1911. Thinner profile and 8 shots instead of 6. From what I've read about Judges, it's more accurate too.

my is a 7 shot and .357, so more power and what not and whats one more round? plus I can plink with .38's (but I usually don't cuz there is no real price advantage in fmj's) all hand gun rounds are a compromise but I feel like (with the exception of maybe a 10mm and Desert eagles or some other "wildcat" rounds) all semi-auto rounds are a much larger compromise since they have to be shorter to fit in a handgrip

I just keep a spare mag for whatever I'm carrying in my pocket. During the winter I carry a second one in whatever jacket I'm wearing. Mag change is way faster than reloading a revolver, especially if you're trying to pick out spent rounds by hand before you drop in fresh ones. The extra speed is worth the potential loss of a partial mag's worth of rounds to me. :notsure:

if I ever have to reload I will hopefully find some cover during/before I have too and then shortly there after I will have again 7 rounds and if need be, while still behind cover, still have the capability of keeping a full revolver until my 19th round has fired and by that time ill prolly be screwed any way.
My biggest thing is semi-auto's have never appealed to me. I understand they have their place, but almost all SD situations end in 3 shots or less from the victim's point. I just like knowing (call it a false hope or being niave) that my rounds have twice the power of the other guys round... that is assume a handgun attacker and not a long gun.

Shrug. No debate about the low round count. But, that also would mean that finding/getting to cover to reload single bullets would be pretty unlikely.
.357 isn't twice as powerful as most stuff out there anymore, though, so I guess that would be a false hope, lol. Not with modern loads, really. Especially not out of a short barrel like a handgun. Maybe 1/3rd more powerful than the popular CCW semi-auto loads (9mm, .40, & .45) which of course is certainly still nothing to sneeze at (NOT to start a 'caliber war' here, this is just based on ft/lbs of energy). But, the difference between 7-800lb/feet and 5-600lb/feet is pretty negligible with a modern hollow point. Both are going to leave a big damn hole.

Me personally, though, I shoot semi's better than I shoot revolvers, and I've got a small frame (5'7, 160-ish), so for me a flat semi is easier to conceal than a revolver. Those are my main reasons for carrying a semi. Reloads are a secondary consideration, really.

I would like to see a 9, .40 or 45 acp that can put down over 500 lb/ft out of a 4" barrel, I'm under the impression they all do well to tip into the 400's. a lot of concealment has to do with where you carry and I understand if you can't/don't feel comfortable carrying a larger gun but I don't feel comfortable carryin a smaller gun (well I have carried a .327 mag, that my wife now carries daily, with a 4" barrel and didn't feel completely under gunned but again it also out classes the big 3 by a decent margin) I also understand if you can't shoot a revolver than you shouldn't carry one, and while I may shoot a semi auto as good or even slightly better, I'm very comfortable with a revolver and have no problem inside 10 yards getting most of my round in the triangle of death just as fast as most can do 7 rounds from an auto.

I will say I like to just do 2 quick shots center mass for most of my practice tho

Are you carrying a 454? I thought we were talking 9mm vs 357 or 44mag. Which yes there's a big difference between those rounds but humans are soft and both will do the job fine.

Whatever works for you man.... I know people who carry a full size 1911 or revolver, and some who carry a tiny .380 S-auto. At the end of the day, its all about preference, and in that moment if you ever have to use your firearm, nothing is going to swirl through your head except keeping yourself and others around you safe and making sure the threat is no longer an issue. I carry a Shield9 for daily CC, and I have a Glock 22 for when I am out in the woods hiking, fishing, or camping. That's just my preference. As long as one's firearm works for them and is reliable, its a done deal. Very cool to see you reppin' that huge revolver... pretty sweet!
