I am getting some pretty high quotes to have it installed. I am pretty sure I could do it myself but taking a day or two to do puts me behind in a number of other ways. Plus there is a shop just around the corner from my office that has done a couple and are highly recommended.

Wonder if the 2.825 super grip pulley requires additional tuning? The site mentions it not being a direct replacement. Is .025" that much to justify additional tuning?

I doing it myself, but only after I get some gauges to monitor critical elements so I know what the heck is going on with internals when supercharger is put on. Don't really trust dummy lights, by the time they go on, it's to late.

Yeah, I would like to have the gauges too, the problem is they are like $200/each for the ones I have seen used. So by the time you get a PSI gauge and a AFR you are into it another $400-$500

Boost gauge isn't super critical on a S/C'd motor. Since boost is determined strictly by pulley diameter, you're not at risk of over boosting the way you'd be with a turbo set up. You'd probably be fine with just an AFR gauge to start. Fuel pressure I'd say would be next in line in terms of importance.

DIY install, but having a transmission shop do the Level 10 valve body upgrade.

Afr is far more important than boost.

But a vac/boost gauge may help identify a slipping belt, a bypass issue, or vac leak.

    They have their places.

Is this certain? If fueling is done via MAF, then if it reads more air the ECU should command more fuel to maintain the desired AFR ratio.

Or does the Tacoma ECU work differently?

    Air - Fuel - Ratio
The best quote I have is $1600 which includes the URD pulley and fuel pump upgrade as well as dyno pulls before and after install.

This will not work with the 4Runner unfortunately. Only the 07-09 FJ Cruiser and 05-15 Tacoma.

It's been like this for 3-4 years now, waiting, I don't think it'll ever happen.
