Here we have an example of the modern-day hunter. Not only looking for elk but the ever so elusive cellular signal. We found one of them this weekend.

Lol, I don't even turn mine on, much less carry it. Better hope it's on silent, not afraid to shoot it right out if their hands :D

Most flatlanders I see up here are sitting around their ridiculously expensive RV/5th wheel setup with satellite TV, or roaring around FS roads on their brand new SXS asking where they find the elk.

Sitting in my ground level office minding my own business right now. Looked above my computer screen a minute ago to peer out the window in front of me just as a coyote was wondering by, half sprinting/half squatting. He stopped directly in front of my window (again, ground level so we are at the same height), locked eyes, took a shit, and continued on his way.

My office is just off hwy 36 and 92nd ave...

It was a wilderness area in the main area we hunted on opening day so it's just mules/horses. But mostly that was outfitters leading clients up to high camps up on the flat tops. In retrospect that is the only way to go for that area east of Meeker as hiking up 3000 vertical feet and then possibly bringing an elk down 3000 vertical feet (or requiring multiple trips) is not really practical. In any case it was so hot during the day (75°+) with zero snow at 10,000 feet that most elk hadn't come down in elevation yet. We saw some 1-2 week-old elk sign but I think the few that moved into the valley (which is private land) went early and the rest are still up on the top of the flat tops. We only heard 4-5 shots on opening day and one the second day.

Finally made it home with my official mall crawler beadlocks. #mallcrawlerasfuck

Center cap removed to get to the hubs. I'll get some metric allen plugs to fill in the two holes. The back caps will stay on.

    Driver side closest point.

Some cutting will be required, driver side again.

Passenger side. has a scosh more clearance for some reason.

Noticed an immediate loss of power, feels like stock again. Speedometer is back to accurate.
Powerband still feels ok though. I just lost my faux crawler gears.
