Which cruise line? Ive been on 3 cruises with Carnival and loved it personally. Our first one was on the cursed ship (not that outing, but the same ship) that ended up stranded in the gulf. We go on one a year. I think were going to venture out and go on Royal Carribean next time but were going to Hawaii next year.

If you're going to buy a cheap Chinese winch go with badlands from harbor freight, they go on sale a lot and then you can use a coupon

I've seen people use them with great success but I know if I need a winch I can't afford for it to not work so I got a Warn. The peace of mind was worth the extra money.

 

Thats kinda how i feel. If i spend a bit more money then i get the dependability and that is really what you want when you are out by yourself and you get stuck. You are depending on the winch to work, i would be so pissed if i got stuck in a mud hole and i crawl out into that muck only to find out my winch doesnt work.

Im looking at the warn m8000s...

 

I got a M8000 and the synthetic line from Amazon warehouse deals and made my own M8000s for a bit cheaper.

 

The classifieds thread is full of BS so I assume this thread is actually the classifieds?

 

Warns fail to. There are a lot of reputable companies out there just as good as warn. They were just the first to make a big name for themselves. Kind of like Yeti coolers. Most well k own brand but there are a bunch others just as good if not better.

 

I have a Warn and I love it.

 

Which one did you go with?

 

What brands would you say compare to Warn?
