    I plan on savin up alittle and getting one alittle younger haha 288k on the motor, its kinda tired. but def gonna stick with a jeep, i like the solid axle, just gotta fix my oil leak, install rear lift and hopefully diag my lack of 4wd this saturday

    Talk to me Tony, I've got a little mech. aptitude & knowledge even Chris4x4 thinks so. j/k, seriously , you having 4x engagement problems ? Looks like a Cherokee, is it a straight 6 ? full time 4wheel or manual (probably full time) I've got a few old jeep buddies still alive and not in prison anymore LOL, but they've got a grip of parts & knowledge let me know........:cool:

    Im pretty sure its gonna need a new transfer case, its got a 242 in it. Bought it from the boneyard at my dealer for 400 bucks with the front driveshaft in the back of the car, yeah its the straight 6

    Why ? is it locked up ? or does it sound like a bunch of metal chips & ball bearings when it rolls ? That 6 is a pretty good motor it was better before they went to EFI when it was a carburator
