I don't claim to know. I was just making the deal seem sweeter when telling my sweetie about it. Only Magnuson knows what their pricing plans are.

@TIM.TRDSparks has said that what we are paying in this GB is pretty close to their cost. I'm sure Magnuson is still making money but I'd be surprised to see them drop it to $3k. But who really knows...

    This.

I know. I have owned and lightly modded a wide variety of vehicles over the years, but this Tacoma seems to be the one that's tugging on my wallet more than the rest have!

The quote below I believe it pretty much sums it up:

I figure paypal 6 month 0% gives me enough time to sell some stuff off and I know I will regret not getting this later.

And if I am selling other toys to pay for this then wife can't complain too much.

Use a card like Citi for 2% cash back, saves $100 off the purchase, then open a chase 0% interest for 18 months on balance transfers with no transfer fee. Immediately transfer the purchase. Cheaper than cash, work the system to your benefit.

Note that using credit smartly to your advantage to pay less is not the same as not having savings.

I have a savings account. Wife just controls all the money and isnt working at the moment so she is very protective of it.

I save 20% of every dollar I bring home. Why use my own money when I can borrow at 0% interest. My savings earns money sitting in the bank.

Defend it all you want. I'm with you on using a CC for almost everything. As you stated. For cash back/points/miles/whatever floats your boat and just pay it off at the end of the month. But I don't open a new card specifically to do balance transfer to pay for shit I can't afford to impress people I don't like.

Paying off a $4000 supercharger at the end of the month is just silly when the credit card is 0% APR and you can leave your cash in your interest bearing accounts instead.

It's absolutely fine if you are not concerned with your credit score. But it's one sided. Simple fact, opening/closing lines of credit does impact your overal score.

My original comment was satirical in nature. I honestly don't give a shit who pays for what with what money. Sell your wife to pay for your charger, I could care less. Interest on 4 grand in a savings account is laughable to me.
