1st gen Speedo needle mod!!!!!!

I found that scraping them left the edges rough and made the edges "lighter" when lit. Like not colored all the way to the edge if that makes sense. I used carb cleaner (I think) the second time on a q-tip and that cleaned them real good.

 

I get what you are saying. I might try rubbing alcohol on the other 2 needles I need to clear and repaint.

 

I really want the black gauges like that. Where can I get them?

Someone else suggested that too. I'm sure it's great, but $100 is a lot!

 

That's really cool. But $100 ehhh.... if I did an whole interior redesign I might buy it.

 

I know these are old posts but I went through this myself and discovered that they aren't interchangeable as stated below
