Oh ya, but not beers, allergies to something in that. So it's vodka/cranberry and something else. After all it's Saturday night and the wife is acting bartender. She decides what is in our glass and mixes like a pro! We had a good day today, she keeps us focused and on topic.

Back from my road trip. The 3.5 2GR-FE performed flawlessly over 1600 miles. Super comfortable, 30 mpg cruising at 75-80 mph, no shifting issues at all. Yeah, we took the Lexus . Hope you guys had a great week.

Gotta ask though, whatever happened to @DesertTaco4x4 and @2016_dbag who started this thread. They both seemed to have disappeared, that seems odd to me.

Get @2016_dbag probably move sets him back, but what, happened to @DesertTaco4x4 ?

Shipping times are getting out of hand....I understand the whole, "Takes a lot of labor" to make a grille but if a full truck can be assembled, painted and created in 8-12 weeks...WTF is the holdup on a 14lb grille?!?!?!

I knew the wait time when I ordered, and am fine with waiting. I'm just impatient AF. Every time I see my cheesy stock grille, I think how nice the BAMF one will be.

Sometimes life takes precedence over TW nonsense. Hopefully that is the case and we did not run them off ;). My wife called me out for spending too much time on TW and she was right.

Ya, I get that. Also, get that look too. The eyes tell me to put the IPad down. Wife is saying it's time for me, not TW. Pay attention and listen!!

Agreed. When stuff starts getting that backed up you gotta start analyzing some stuff. What processes are holding us up? If they have the equipment to produce more and TA just a lack of manpower perhaps they need to hire another set of hands, or two. If it's the coating process and it's all done In house, perhaps they see if it's viable to outsource to another local company. If ots lack of equipment, does it make financial sense to buy another machine or whatever. All avenues to be explored. When wait times are that long you start losing business.

I doubt they have any patents or anything in the design. What's not to stop someone from sending one to China and having them mass produce a version. A lot of those companies could produce a lot more volume, at a cheaper price. Honestly surprised someone hasn't done this yet.

I hope they aren't shooting themselves in the foot. It's arguably the best looking grille available for the 3rd gen Tacoma. You gotta strike when the iron is hot. I'm sure with the release of the Pro grille, and there lead times pretty long that alone is costing them business. I also wouldn't be surprised if another grille or two end up become available aftermarket for these in the near future. If so that may also dip into there sales.

Personally I think that's the grille I want. Still a bit undecided as I can get a Pro grill at cost from my work. Or Ive been debating just spraying my grill with Bedliner material at work. I'll probably do that anyway just so I'll be able to make more selling it. If I like it I make just keep it. Personally I like the 3rd gen TRD grilles, just not the chrome. I seen an employee at one of our Toyota stores had his grille dipped. It looked like shit in my opinion. So I won't go that route. I think it will look good with Line-X. Even if I decide on a BMAF grille, I'm not so sure I want to wait 12+ weeks.

Btw I know before they were at "8 weeks" lead time but there were people at that point who were just shy of 3 full months. Almost 16 weeks. There lead times are very accurate in my book. Not sure who wants to place an order with a 12 week lead time, and getting it 20 weeks later. :annoyed:

I'm at 14.5 weeks right now. I ordered on July 11. I have received shipping/tracking info, but it looks like the grille hasn't been picked up from BAMF yet. Once I have the grille, I'll know if it was worth it. I really don't care about the wait, what I care about is the design and build quality. If it's as good as I hope it is, I will be happy.
