2017 TRD Pro - differences between the Canadian and US versions?

Any Canadians here that have received delivery of their 2017 TRD Pros?

On the Toyota.ca site there is no mention of the Fox coilovers:

• Suspension: Bilstein Shock Absorbers (Front and Rear) Zoom
• Suspension: TRD Remote Reservoir Suspension kit Zoom
• Front Suspension: TRD-tuned Front Coil Springs Zoom
• Rear Suspension: TRD-tuned Rear Leaf Springs

I'm hoping this is just a mistake, but can anyone confirm definitively?

I've requested disclosure from Toyota of any and all differences between the US and Canadian versions, but no idea if I will be able to get it.

I've put a deposit down on a TRD Pro, but will be really pissed if Canadians get an inferior version.

 

That's gotta be a mistake. But I wouldn't spend 50,000 Canadian for a mid sized off road truck.

 

I hope so.

Factoring in current exchange rates, I believe the Canadian version is actually a little cheaper than the US version.

My next option if they have screwed us on the Cdn version of the TRD Pro is the TRD Offroad, which only comes as an access cab and not a dbl cab in Canada (I'd prefer DBL), but it is $10k less.

 

I wonder if the fox shocks aren't transport Canada approved. So we get the Billy's

Any idea how one system would compare to the other, and if the lift is the same?

Not on the TRD Pro.

Not many options at all really for customized builds, other than accessory add ons.

Toyota USA has different vehicles available.

 

It's stupid a lot of Toyota parts are made in Canada too

 

You can buy a TRD Off Road in Dbl Cab in the USA, but not in Canada for some reason known only to Toyota.

Good luck buying a Pro in Canada for 50k, unless you're talking usd. It will be much closer to 60k Cdn.

I'm also pretty sure it will be the same as the US version. Fox shocks are on the Canadian version.

 

Nope you can get a double cab short bed TRD Off-road in Canada now. No long bed, and I don't think a manual is available on the standard version, only on the Pro, can't remember on that one though.

My bad, I see you were originally responding to if the off road was available in a long bed, sorry.

 

MSRP for TRD Pro in MT is $50k. I just ordered one for $2k less than that.

There is no reference to Fox shocks on the Toyota.ca - only Bilstein.

 

There is no reference to the double cab short bed on Toyota.ca.

If you can post your source, please do.

 

The 2017 Doublecab V6 6A SB listed on toyota.ca build & price page is an Off-road short bed

Whoops, forgot you you're talking about the Pro, I think those are short beds too

 

Doesn't the Canadian version make the "AYE" sound when door are locked and unlocked instead of the traditional "BEEP" we have in the US? That may have something to do with the cost difference.

Ok awesome, thanks for the clarification. There's no reference on the site to it being the Off Road, but I see the black fenders etc...now. The CDN website is crap. I will go into the dealer today and grab a brochure.

Man if you got a Pro for 48 out the door in Canada, I'd say you've done very well. Dealers around Edmonton were much more.
