A young persons knee still uses the ACL for stability and is designed for a more active person that plays sports . This knee replacement also is tighter so harder to flex and abduct

A older persons knee replacement doesn't use the ACL so the ACL is removed and is more flexible . Also the design of prosthetic allows for easier moment but not designed for highly active individuals

Misalignment of the femur and tibia and possible loose screws into these bones . This is why the CT Scan and bone scan have been ordered

I've got a friend of mine who got the same prosthetic knee and he also had problems , he's also 10 years younger than me

There's been a lot of failures in this design knee replacement . I've also seen damage done to bone during placement of prosthetic and like I mentioned previously a lot of problems with screws backing out or cement used to lock screws in failing

Hips are way different for sure but I don't have any screws. I have seen some like mine with them. They used a titanium pocket with a rough outer edge like 80 grit sandpaper. It is suppose to allow the bone to grow into the pocket locking it down. You would think bonding bone would be better than cement and they would use something like it.
