    I think Toyota has some fault detection on the start or ECT buttons.

    I'll try an implementation that only uses the 4wires on the ECT. Perhaps this will keep the DHM silent.

    That's what I was going for, but you'd need some timer to send a pulse since there is only constant ignition power at the switch.

    I ordered a TD relay. It'll be here tomorrow, but I can't install until the weekend.

    I wonder if theres a setting for this in Toyota tech stream computer? Any Toyota techs in here have access to that database to see if its a listed feature????

    I'm 100% certain tech stream can set ECT on as default, but the EPA is likely limiting Toyota's ability to change it. Or the dealers are not educated on it yet.

    Either way owners are hacking their trucks.

    Read it here first.....The first open source vehicle will be a total hit. And it will be cheap!

    someone posted in another thread that he checked into it and found that the option was not available in tech stream. wish it was.
