Id say this qualifies as a deal!
The no-drill roof mount light bar brackets got a great response from Tacoma World and thanks for that! Seems like I'm not the only one who doesn't wanna drill permanent holes in the roof of their beloved Taco.
I've now updated the design and moved to a professional manufacturing method! Tacofab Solutions is now working with Hot Metal Fab in Loomis, Ca. They make some great stuff, check them out :http://www.hotmetalfab.com.
The new 42" light brackets are precision CNC plasma cut from 10 gauge steel and the styling has been updated as well. They are powdercoated black just like the first design and include mounting hardware and instructions. These are a no-drill installation for 05+ Tacoma double cabs. One of the benefits of these is that if you get tired of the light bar or are, God forbid, selling or trading in your truck and wanna remove the bar you can take it off and never tell it was there. Another benefit is that the bar sits farther back than most roof mounts so it reduces the light glare off the hood and dash (like windshield mounts).
They can be used on single cabs and extra cabs as well as custom universal applications but will require drilling and rivets or nutserts on thosemodels. Pricing is $55 a pair plus $7 shipping, which is less than most comparable products made in the USA. I'll put up pics as soon as they come back from powdercoating.
We're also working on no-drill brackets for 50"/52"
light bars and rearward facing lightbars(FU bars:brianr:) as well as
some other light mounting options. I'll post an update when those are available.
Note : If you ordered and paid for brackets within the last week you'll recieve the new brackets for the old price so no worries there.
    Thanks again Tacoma World!

My question is (for anyone who has an answer) are all 50/52s same basic dimensions? And will the brackets be for straight or curved?

They are basically the same. There may be minor differences but nothing a little spacer or shim couldn't cure. I leave a little room on my brackets for slighly wider bars. And the brackets I make are a best fit with straight bars but as with most brackets (I've seen) they will work on curved bars. The angles just don't match up perfectly but once tightened they usually work out ok. I guess it just boils down to how anal the person installing them is about fitment.
On another note I'm soon going to offer side mirror mount ditch light brackets. I have some prototypes on my truck and I like them much better than what most folks are offering because there's no glare in your face off the hood/fenders. Plus they're inexpensive to make and therefore inexpensive to sell. Like $30 a pair. And of they'll be laser cut and powdercoated black. If you look at the pics of my truck you'll get an idea of how they're gonna mount. :)

CNC cut brackets are the first pic. I've also got the budget shear-press cut versions for $43 a set, (2nd pic).

Here's the shear cut versions on my truck. These were the first prototypes so they're rattle can painted. I try to make the lights tight to the roof or you'll get a wind whistle, (something I learned in development, lol).
2nd pic gives you an idea of how the ditch light brackets will work.

Just installed mine tonight. My curved bar measured 42 and the brackets measured 42 and a half. Had to add on some washers on each side but we got it tight. Going to get it wired up tmrw, drive it around tonight though and a slight hum was there, but nowhere near As bad as others I have heard. I will post pics tmrw with some daylight

Awesome! Glad to hear! The extra room is there because I've ran into some bars that are a little longer. I think I'll start including some nylon spacers with the kits from now on. I'll send you some as soon as I can just so that it's right. Pics!

Here it is installed. Drove 50+ miles today. There is little to no noise, a slight hum but it blends into the overall driving noise. Love it, got to get it wired up when I get a chance. Ignore the dirty truck I have to wash just been insanely busy and driving, what feels like, all over the world lately

Looks good. Nice and tight on the roof. Good job on the installation! As soon the spacers are done I'll send them out to you so you can get rid of the washers. Thanks for the good review as well.
