    :rimshot:Greetings fellow detailers............
Like me at one time I through that the more coats of wax the better until I started detailing cars during my spare time. Yep I've used it all and still have it on my shelves so..............
I've boiled my products down to 4 to produce what my Tacoma looks like today. Of course it's been clay bared and I only use a leaf blower to dry it off. If you have not tried the x-press spray was it's the best product that you can use on all surfaces.
    Enjoy

This is how I do my truck:
    1. clay bar (surface prep)
    2. ultimate liquid wax (base wax 2 coats)
    3. show car glaze (top coat)
    4. quick wax (weekly)
    5. Detailer (I use this on all interior and exterior surface) even glass great
    * I use a Flex rotary buffer
So since I have built up a good base on my paint all I do to maintain it is to use item 4.
Hope this helps and thanks for the comments

Can you explain a little bit the difference between the 4 products? Which do you use and how/when/how often.
Looks like you know what you are doing. Truck looks great.

I like meguiars products. I use the meguiars ultimate paste wax, which I believe is similar to your liquid wax.

I second this. Any info explaining a basic process would be appreciated. My current game plan is putting about 3 coats of the basic Meguiars wax on my truck, with a cleaner wax as a first coat. Im sure Im not doing the best that I could.

I actually prefer Liquid Glass for my wax. Gives a super hard shell, which is important with how easily newer vehicles scratch with their super-thin paint. GF rubbed the front corner of her Mustang up against the garage door frame, hard enough to transfer paint to the car. But fortunately it was after we'd put two coats of Liquid Glass on, and there was zero damage to the car. The transferred paint buffied right off with a a microfiber cloth, and there weren't any scuffs/scratches/marks left afterwards. So she put on another coat of wax, lol.

    More details would be good.
I also use meguiars products..but i use synthetic then top off with carnauba.
I haven't jumped on the liquid wax bandwagon...I prefer paste wax

Too poor to list anything interesting.
This reminds me, I need to wax my truck again.

And also get a steel bumper so I can cut off my lower bedside oopsies.

Aren't the spray bottles of Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Wax & the gallon jugs of Meguiar's Synthetic Express Spray Wax the same products in different packaging? I'm assuming you just refill the spray bottle as you go. That's what I do with my Optimum Spray Wax. Very cost effective! You truck looks great!

I think you're correct re. D156 vs Quick Wax. The 156 maybe has a different scent than the consumer version (if my memory serves).

I use to detail cars in my dad's car dealership.

The best product I have ever used was armor all with Teflon. it lasted about 6 months and bugs would wipe off. I can't get a good wax here I wish I could get the armor all. Mcguireso makes a clear coat protectant it's really good but I can't get it here.

    Sorry, had to do it.

I don't use Meguire's at least not till I recover from a use of one of their products that went bad, but that is one hot red truck!
