    well ill be buying steelies after i get my tax return along with some 33" bfg km2s. i am looking at the 2 procomp steelies..the 98s or the 52s. they are going on an 04 burgandy xtracab. which do you guys prefer or think would look better? both are the same price so just need to decide

    the 98s look bad ass on a 1st gen but be prepared to buy wheel spacers...

    someone on here with a double cab was able to fit them on his truck, but for years, there have been issues with the dimple dies on that wheel scraping the brake fluid vein on the front calipers...

    just a couple days ago, someone on ToyotaNation.com put those wheels on a first gen xcab and drove the truck about 4 feet when the truck came to an abrupt stop... the wheels got stuck on the face of the calipers...

    Mike I'm pretty sure everyone on here has had at least a couple of wet dreams because of your truck.

    I do like the streetlocks, but idk if its worth the extra ~$40/wheel.

    thought i had a problem as i occassionally find myself sleep walking into the garage at night and dry hump the front bumper...

    hahaha

    thanks though...

    as for whether its worth it, probably not...

    i wanted a particular backspace that nobody was offering on this wheel in a 16x8, so i had to custom order it from Allied Wheel Company via America's Tire... i had to drop $140 per wheel and waited 7 weeks for delivery...

    OUCH...

    anything that can just be ground down on the wheel? whats causing this? is it only on the 98s or just the procomp wheel itsself

    okay well the guy at nwtonline said that there is not a steel wheel that will work with the tacomas. that seems like a pretty ignorant statement to me since i see a bunch of steel wheels on this forum. he said all of them will hit the brake calipers. is this true or is this guy just dumb? how does everyone else get theirs to fit?

    its that particular style of wheel that does that...

    the D-window style of wheel is fine...

    just throw on a 1/4 inch spacer and you will be good to go...
