Hello Bullet. His name reminds me of a couple of my bass boats and of course one of my favorite hobbies.

I believe that is the cleanest Taco I have ever seen wheeling. Not much to clean up when you get home. Really nice looking truck.

Question for you guys, there's not much play in it ( about 1/8" to 3/16"), its been that way for about 8 months. Do you guys think it will be ok to drive to Lynchburg, VA and back at the end of the month?

1/8 is a lot, at least on the first gens, I'd say do it ASAP. Sorry I can't help sooner my programs getting re certified it two fields and I'm still trying to find time to actually prep lessons and shop work. Going to that wedding this weekend put me way behind.

Is it as easy as it looks? I've been slowly doing different repairs on my truck that I would pay a shop to do. Mainly to learn but, also because the only time I really have is the weekends. Can afford to not have it during the work week.

From what I've heard it's easy, if suggest getting it on jack stands Friday so you can hit it early Saturday and pick up any parts you forgot or need to replace.

No, 1/8 is a lot of play and I wouldn't drive at highway speeds for a long distance with it like that. I drove around town with mine having about 1/4" of play for like 3 weeks! But that was 3 miles to and from work and nothing else while I waited on my bearing/hub.

Did you get a whole new assembly or just the bearing? If you got the whole assembly from Bamaboy on here then it's super easy if you just have the bearing you'll need to go have the old one pressed out and press the new one it at a shop with a press.

I suggest you also replace the inner seal that's in the spindle as well because obviously something failed to allow dirt and grime into the back of the bearing.

Like I said I wish you lived closer we'd have it done in no time man.

I'm curious now if we can find a way to that creek bed trail. :spy:

Ha! Thanks man but that truck is long since dead. Slung a rod going down the interstate back in 2000. Kept it for a little while because I wanted to do a solid axle swap but ended up trading it in on a 2001 Tacoma. I never got around to rebuilding the engine so I got maybe 1000 bucks on trade in for it if I remember right. I miss it :pout:
Do you know how slow I had to drive to get it to those spots for the picture?!?! LOL!
