I've been mourning for 11 months, so although this sucks, today is a new day and I am ready to take life head on. edit: So it looks like they forgot to ship the brake pads with the order. Hopefully they fix that soon.

 

@Techoma have you camped on the Mogollon rim or the Santa Clarita's down by tucson?

^^Speaking of brakes, whats everyone's thoughts of the slotted/drilled rotors? I was going to get some (Powerstop K137), but I found out that not many places will turn them. Is that even something that needs to be done on that type? Or how long should they last? I've only ever had that standard OEM rotors and they've lasted me now to about 107k. I don't think there's enough left on em to turn them again when the pads are due for a change again in about 13k miles.

 

Waste of money. And like you said, most places won't turn them.

 

Good to hear. That's about the conclusion I came to a few weeks ago when I was researching. Good pads and regular rotors seems like the best route for what I would need.
