I recently saw a Demello bumper on an FJ Cruiser in SF and it was beautiful! Also saw one on 80 driving back from Sacramento but I couldn't exactly stop and look at it :) I'm sure Jason hasn't seen this thread in a while. I'll gather the unanswered questions up for him and see when he can reply. Thanks all for the interest so far!!!

Jason, thanks for the response! Below are a few of the unanswered questions.

Maulcruiser - "I'd be interested, depending on cost and weight."

3rYODA - "I NEED...... what would the weight be ?"

Brussel56 - "mounting pictures to determine ifs skid compatibility."
I'm not sure if the pictures you provided answered his question. Maybe? :p

KiteGuam - "Curious what the 1/8 is used for? Wouldn't that be to thin? Though I don't doubt your work, since you're bumpers are my #1 choice for any model Taco"

Hey all, what are some other reputable Tacoma forums? I'm thinking of posting on more to see if more folks would be interested. I'll be posting on Pirate4x4 since I have an account there already. I have no doubt we'll hit 20 at this point, but really hoping to get it closer to 30 so Jason doesn't even have to think twice about doing it.

It's for the skin, the rest is thicker. We are a little different than others. Most make bumpers at one thickness 3/16in. We make the winch plate out of 1/4" the frame and reinforcements at 3/16in and the skin at 1/8in. Even though we have no scientific proof of this we keep the skin thin so in a impact it helps distribute the impact better while not sacrificing the over all strength. I believe ARB bumpers which are air bag tested use an 1/8in skin as well and more of an internal frame than others. Again this is just our thinking, we've had dozens of customers get into accidents and air bags work flawlessly.

I'm interested! Any ball park figure for costs to ship to N. Carolina?

Would they be willing to put on headlight loops as well?

If Demello is seriously considering making a 1st gen bumper than they should start a Kickstarter.
Then we will see if people are serious about buying one.

I thought of that but just wanted to see how much interest this thread would create first. I think that once Jason agrees, a kickstarter is in order. Probably a $300 minimum deposit or something.

Any talk of them possibly including the hybrid steel/tube rear bumper? I'm def interested in that piece. Especially since our trucks don't come stock with tow hooks in the rear.
