I think the 315's are fatter, and that's why tubbing is required.
I was hoping to get close to that without major surgery.
after seeing the tire next to that 37, I almost wish I would have saved a couple grand and just tubbed the fucker with those old swampers.
But pretty sure breakage would have followed as those are some heavy bitches., they break Dana 44 hardened stub shafts with ease as it is.

 

Yeah, the extra width definitely calls for tubbing. Did you do any hammering in the upper portion of the wheel well?

 

Glad you're here, a year ago or so, I gave you a pair of nylon(?) top spacers, they were kind of thin..5mm maybe,
Are you using them?
And if not would it be possible to get them back? I think they might be the simple solution to avoid any more cutting. If they are in use, then don't worry about it.

Keep in mind, those will change where the shock bottoms out, so you'll probably have to add some bump stop spacers to match.

 

I'm not in a big hurry to get them, and they may not be necessary. I know they will limit up travel, prolly just enough to get the clearance I need. But at the same time, I will have to lift the rear slightly to match and avoid bro lean.
There will be a chance to meet up with you or Leo some time soon I'm sure, If I need them we'll do it then.

 

There have been certain obstacles that I have managed to bottom out the front to the stops, but they are rare and not something that gets hit hard anyway, so I'm thinking that any full stuff rub while wheeling, will be minimal, and controllable, might not be that much of an issue.

 

I'm thinking about sleeping in the hammock to see if I can spot the bear tonight... as long as its not windy. its supposed to get down to freezing, so wind would not be welcomed.
